Pastels

My pastels often represent the first stage of my prints.  Some become finished works in themselves whilst others remain as sketches. Being
in the landscape, absorbing and observing the detail and the atmosphere, enables me to store away my responses.  I have realised that these memories are later recreated in my imagined landscapes.
